Matches and Competitions

2019-20

Danegrove are competing in a range of inter school competitions.

We are entered into football leagues for Year 6 boys and Year 6 girls. Years 3, 4 and 5 will also play in football tournaments throughout the year.

Danegrove are also competing in the borough netball league, cross country competitions, swimming galas, dance festivals and competitions/experiences for children with special educational needs.

Copthall – Barnet Schools Athletics Competition

Danegrove excelled in this borough wide athletics competition. We had a series of successes, winning the tug of war event, the field events trophy (long jump, high jump, ball throw and javelin throw), the boys relay races trophy and we were also overall winners of the large schools trophy. Mr Rubeck, the athletics coach, was extremely impressed by the team's attitude and sportmanship throughout the day.

Cross Country - October 2019

We took part in the Cross Country races at the Allianz Park.

Copthall – Barnet Schools Athletics Competition – June 2019

Danegrove had one of its best results ever at this year’s Barnet Schools Athletics Competition.

We came:

1st overall in the Large Schools Trophy
1st in the tug-o-war
1st in the boys relay

Just to name a few!!

Congratulations to the children who took part from years 3-6.

In June 2019 Danegrove visited a very special sports event which took place at Allianz Park. The atmosphere was great. Almost everybody was shouting, cheering and supporting their school. The support for Danegrove from both the children and parents watching was amazing.

The track was being set up for the sprinting and the long distance events. Before the running events began there was a parade of all the athletes around the track

Then it was 3,2,1….Go. The amazing results just kept coming!
